This picture is the companion piece to Chanctonbury Ring.
Long Man of Wilmington is an ancient hill figure marked onto the steep slopes of Windover Hill, East Sussex.
Essentially it’s a picture of a picture!

Some 25 years ago, we wanted to visit the Cerne Abbas Giant in Dorset. We made it to the location allright but faced one of those typical England days with fog, thicker then soup. Pity!

I have a Cerne Abbas giant painting somewhere, I’ll have to post a picture of it. He's a very popular chap down in Dorset, I’ve never had the chance to do the walk up the hill to see him closeup though, maybe next time!

It would be worth seeing it, that's what we heard from the villagers. We were so unlucky with that fog!
